Privacy Policy
Effective August 9, 2026. MeowExport is shown as FreeUp on macOS and works locally with an iPhone that you explicitly connect, unlock, and trust.
Data processed on your devices
FreeUp may read media names, types, capture dates, sizes, dimensions, durations, thumbnails, previews, and file contents needed for an export you request. View preferences, an authorized export-folder bookmark, thumbnails, temporary previews, export manifests, and verification receipts are stored locally.
Collection and tracking
MeowExport does not require a developer account, contains no ads or tracking, uses no analytics SDK, and does not upload your media, device identifiers, or usage to a developer-operated server. Apple system services process device access under Apple’s policies.
Permissions and device changes
macOS controls connected-device, removable-volume, photo/video, and user-selected-folder access. FreeUp begins device discovery at launch but does not automatically choose a destination, export media, or modify the iPhone. Device changes are disabled by default; when separately enabled, deletion still requires a verified export set, matching device state, explicit confirmation, per-item receipts, and a fresh authoritative read.
Retention and deletion
You can remove preferences and caches through macOS or by uninstalling the app. Files and manifests in a destination you selected remain under your control. Because no developer server stores this data, there is no server-side account-deletion process.
